- How many people will be coming on the tour?

We have guaranteed spots for 10 people. After that, we will take people on a space available basis only.

While there have been many press reports about the crime rate in South Africa, for the most part crime is restricted to certain areas of the country, and the places that you visit will not be in those areas. Having said that, it is always wise to exercise caution when visiting a new city, and our tour guides will offer you practical guidelines on how to protect your safety at all times.
- Will the laws of Kashrut be observed on the tour?

During the entire tour, the laws of Kashrut will be observed. That means that all products used will be under the supervision of the Beth Din, and food is prepared under strict halchic standards.
- Will I be able to pray with a Minyan on the Sabbath?

The laws of the Sabbath will be observed, and where group size allows, Minyanim will be held.
- What's the weather like in South Africa in August? What clothes should I bring?

The South African climate is generally very mild and comfortable throughout the year. However, August in South Africa is the winter time, and you should plan for some of the evenings to be a bit chilly and drop to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Day time temperatures are usually quite warm and go up to 70 degrees in the winter time. You should bring clothing to keep you warm for some of the cooler evenings.
- What currency is used in South Africa etc.? How do I get your currency?

The South African currency is called the Rand and 1 American dollar is worth approximately 8 rands. Most banks allow you to withdraw Rands using your American ATM card. However, Rands can also be purchased on arrival, and Visa and Mastercard can be used in most South African shops.
- Can I gain access to the internet/do you have Internet access? Fax facilities?

In the bush, Internet access is very limited. Most resorts we use have fax facilities, and Internet cafe's are available in most towns and tourist areas.
- What if I have to cancel?

If you decide to cancel your trip, the following fees apply at the time (prior to departure) if we receive written notice of your cancellation.
